WHOA! Hello, Fall. You’re welcome to stay as long as you want, okay? The lovely Anna and I spent a Sunday afternoon enjoying some cool weather and a killer sunset. I’m suuuuuuper crazy about these photos!

Wow! Amy and Dan’s wedding was many firsts for me. First time shooting at Sokol Park, first time shooting at Diamond Room, first time shooting a Star Wars themed reception… It was a completely wonderful day. May The Force be with Amy and Dan!
Thanks to second shooter Sam Clark for the amazing work!
OMG well what can I say? This might be one of my favorite weddings of all time. Mindy and Cory were married at Holy Cross, celebrated their reception at 1316 Jones, and stopped for some killer photos and fun times in between. This day was a blast. A complete and utter blast. Let’s do it again soon, okay?
Major thanks to Jennie Davis for being an amazing second, as always.
A couple months ago, I went out to California to shoot the wedding of Kevin and Colleen. There’s really not a whole lot that I need to say about this wedding. I think the phrase “stunning California desert love wedding” pretty much sums it up. Seeing Joshua Tree and shooting a wedding in the desert were on my bucket list… So check and check.
Hey hey hey! This week is Thanksgiving. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!? Who is allowing time to pass so quickly, huh? If you’re like me, you’re just now realizing that you should probably get rolling on some holiday photos and Christmas cards. Just your luck though, I’m offering holiday mini sessions at the studio! So while I will still be frantically editing and printing Christmas cards on December 23rd, you don’t have to! (New Years cards are a thing too, right?)
My last round of family photos for Christmas will be on the afternoon of December 5th. Here are a few details:
- Shot with Jennie Davis Photography – Two professional photographers!
- 20 minutes
- 10 high res digital files
- Holiday and non-holiday sets
Ashley and Kenny were married back in August in an absolutely stunning downtown wedding. Classic details everywhere, blush and gold colors, the lovely Ashley and Kenny… This wedding was incredible. They were married at First Central Congregational Church and celebrated their reception at the Livestock Exchange Ballrooms. A perfect day for two kind and welcoming people. Well… Almost perfect. There was the sudden torrential downpour that lasted through out the entire duration of their allotted portrait time. But we still have the most gorgeous portraits ever. Thank goodness for a super photogenic couple who can make the most out of a seven minute portrait session. (Also, this photography team works surprisingly well under unexpected pressure from lightening and thunder.)
Thanks to Jennie Davis for second shooting!
Molly and Tommy celebrated a stunning and classic Omaha wedding this summer at Crighton’s St. John’s church and then partied until the wee hours of the morning at Anthony’s Steakhouse. Molly is gorgeous, Tommy is dashing, whoa that head table…
You guuuuuuuys! One of my all time favorite couples had me shoot their maternity photos. We took these back in early August when Alana and Mike were still awaiting the arrival of Smith and Eli. Well, the boys were born a couple weeks ago and let me tell you. That post is coming up next and it is pretty insanely cute. But first…
This is my big sister Cathy, brother-in-law Ron, and their son Grant. These three are on their way to becoming a family of four. In the Fall, they’ll be traveling to China to finally meet their new brother/son, Yue. They will be there for two weeks in order to finalize the adoption and get Yue his paperwork to come to America as a citizen and their son. Two weeks of international travel for three people is obviously pretty costly, and I’d love to be able to help them out so they can embark on this new chapter as a family.
I’m opening up an evening of mini sessions on September 5th, from 4:00-8:00. Sessions are $200 and available on the hour or half hour. All the money from the sessions will go to the Price family to help pay for their travel expenses to China. Please contact me to reserve a spot.
Cathy has done more for me in my life than I could ever repay her for. She’s wonderful and selfless and one of the smartest, greatest, loveliest people I’ve ever met. (I can say that now that we’re in our 30s and our teenage years are far behind.) There’s probably nothing I could do to make up for all these decades of her being a great older sister, but I’m going to try a little bit here.
Thank you so much!
Jamie and Dave are getting married this weekend! We went earlier in 2015, on what was probably one of the coldest winter days ever, and thought… Hey. Let’s go up on the rooftop of this building. Can’t be that cold and windy up there, right? Wrong. So first. There were beers.Continue Reading
